We collaborate with craftsmen of various trades in Kyoto for our architectural projects, and at the same time developing hand-crafted home goods that complement the urban lifestyle, advocating an heightened sensibility awareness of things we use everyday. This is where KOUad is born.

KOU ( 工 )　represent the works and skills of craft masters. ad (+, short for “add”) represent the creative concepts we hope to add value to the craftsman’s works and together we create the final pieces we wish to share with you. Each piece is hand-crafted, each piece is unique, each piece has a story to tell.
