The shape is inspired by wooden fishing boats that once lined up along the many alcove of Kyoto coastlines. Its also known as the “soup drinking bowl” as a gentle spout-like “kataguchi” is hand-shaped to allow one to drink soup while holding the bowl in both hands.
The shades of coloured clay, specially created in-house, reflect the colours of Kyoto (Kyo-Iro series). You can mix and match for a organic-chic table-setting.
